On Saturday, a person fell at a waterfall in Peneda-Gerês National Park.
According to the Sub-regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Alto Tâmega and Barroso, rescue operations are currently underway. The fall occurred at the Cela Cavalos Waterfall.
The Civil Protection website reports that the alert was given at 3:58 PM, and at least 22 operatives, six vehicles, and one aerial unit are at the scene.
Volunteers from the Salto Fire Department and the Montalegre Volunteer Fire Department are present at the location.
