The Portuguese Public Security Police (PSP) has taken to social media to send a heartfelt message to children, emphasizing its role in caring for and protecting the community.
The message reads, “We want young children to see the police as allies, friends, and guardians of their safety. Teaching them from an early age that they can trust the PSP makes all the difference for a safer and closer future.”
The authorities also urge parents and educators to “replace fear with trust” by reassuring children with the words, “If you need help, the police will be there to assist you.”
“The PSP cares and protects! Always present for you, for everyone,” the statement concludes.
