The Minister of Education, Fernando Alexandre, marked the beginning of a new school year this Monday, September 15, from a school in Santo Tirso.
Speaking to journalists from the Tomaz Pelayo School Group, the official acknowledged that there are still schools experiencing a shortage of teachers, noting that “we won’t solve a structural lack of teachers from one year to the next.”
The issues are primarily in the central and southern parts of the country. However, they are being resolved more “quickly.”
