Due to adverse weather conditions, the IPMA has issued a yellow warning for the Western group of islands (Flores and Corvo). This warning is in effect from 8:00 PM local time on Sunday (9:00 PM in Lisbon) until 2:00 PM local time on Monday, due to “occasional heavy rainfall that may be accompanied by thunderstorms.”
Similarly, the Central group of the Azores (Pico, Faial, São Jorge, Terceira, and Graciosa) is under a yellow warning for the same reasons, effective from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM local time on Monday.
The yellow warning, the least severe on a three-tier scale, is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk to certain activities depending on weather conditions.
