The Bank of Portugal (BdP) has dedicated the latest episode of its podcast to the issue of tariffs announced by the US President Donald Trump. Titled “The tariffs have arrived: what will be the impact on the Portuguese economy?“, this is episode 183.
“In a time of commercial tensions and rising customs rates, it is crucial to anticipate the consequences for the Portuguese economy. In the March Economic Bulletin, the Bank of Portugal publishes two sections quantifying this impact and identifying sectors most exposed to trade with the US. Two authors, João Amador and Gabriela Castro, economists from the Economic Studies Department, guide us through the main conclusions of these articles,” the institution’s website states.
