How Does Voting Work?
Each country receives a total score, with 50% coming from juries and 50% from the public, with each country having a spokesperson – for Portugal, it is iolanda, who participated in Eurovision last year and achieved 10th place in the final.
The points are allocated as 12 points, 10 points, and then from 8 to 1.
Is Portugal Well Placed in the Betting Odds?
Although Portugal was not favored to reach the final, it remains not among the frontrunners, positioned towards the end of the betting odds table. Moreover, in recent days, the song ‘Deslocado’ has topped Spotify charts in several European countries.
In contrast, Sweden is a strong contender and the favorite to win the Eurovision Song Contest. The top three favorites are rounded out by Austria and France.
