“Whether by broom or by car”, PSP issues a warning to drivers

The Public Security Police (PSP) took to social media this Friday, October 31, to issue a warning to drivers traveling on Halloween, regardless of their mode of transportation.

“Whether by broom or car, safety always comes first,” reads the post, which reminds that “magic does not prevent accidents”.

Accompanying an image of a car and a broom, reminiscent of witches associated with this day, the PSP also appeals for people to “be responsible” and “drive prudently”.

They have also provided a list of precautions to take during travels:

  • Reduce speed;
  • Avoid distractions;
  • If driving, do not drink;
  • Consider fatigue on long trips;
  • Be attentive to pedestrians and cyclists;
  • Maintain a safe distance.

“The PSP wishes everyone a safe and responsible Halloween,” concludes the post.
