According to the website of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection, as of 19:15, 98 personnel, 27 vehicles, and four aerial resources remained on site.
The alert was issued at 14:23, as reported by Civil Protection.
Sources from the Porto Metropolitan Area Sub-Regional Command and the fire services stated that there were no houses at risk, and the fire affected an area of brushland.
Due to the ongoing heatwave in the country, the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) placed seven mainland districts under red warning from today through Tuesday: Lisbon, Setúbal, Santarém, Évora, Beja, Castelo Branco, and Portalegre.
The remaining districts are under orange or yellow warnings, which will vary from today until Tuesday.
