
“Throughout this journey to gather opinions and engage in dialogue with the Portuguese, visits will be made to universities, businesses, clubs, institutions, museums, markets, schools, cultural associations, among others,” a source from the candidacy told the Lusa agency.
The same source stated, “There will be 30 days to unite the Portuguese around the aim of making Portugal a fair and excellent country.”
This tour, which starts in the Algarve and Beja, will also include a visit to the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azores and a visit to the diaspora.
On Saturday, António José Seguro will be at the University of Algarve for a session with the rector, which will also involve “several regional development specialists.”
The candidate then makes a visit to the municipal market of Faro and meets with local officials in São Brás de Alportel, where he will also participate in an initiative called “Conversation with the Future – Territorial Cohesion and Interior Development.”
Afterwards, the former secretary-general of the PS heads to Olhão, where he will be present at the opening session of the senior university’s academic year.
While still in Olhão, António José Seguro will visit an algae processing unit for cosmetic and food purposes, and in Faro, he will meet with the Association of Culatra Island and visit the Feira de Santa Iria.
