
Wind conditions are disrupting landing and takeoff operations today at Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo, with four flights being diverted, as reported by ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal.
The situation, noted in the late afternoon, affected three flights arriving from London and another from Vilnius, as well as their corresponding departures.
ANA advises that “adverse weather conditions may affect operations (arrivals and departures),” suggesting passengers verify flight statuses before heading to the airport.
For instance, a flight from Vilnius, Lithuania, scheduled to land at 6:20 PM, is now expected to arrive at 9:30 PM.
In terms of departures, a flight bound for Brussels, Belgium, initially set to depart at 5:25 PM, is now scheduled for 8:50 PM. Another flight to London, England, which was to leave at 6:25 PM, is expected to depart at 10:05 PM.
