Mexico and Angola were notable in international markets, with growth rates of 86.14% and 37.69%, respectively.
France remained the primary destination for exports, followed by the USA and Brazil.
Wines priced between 2.01 and 4.00 euros were the most exported, representing about 40% of the market share.
“These figures reflect the sector’s resilience and adaptability, even amid a challenging and uncertain international economic context. The increase in volume underlines the ongoing demand for our wines, while the average price challenge highlights the importance of strategies to enhance our wines’ value and consolidate their position in international markets,” stated ViniPortugal President Frederico Falcão.
ViniPortugal, the Interprofessional Wine Association, aims to promote Portugal’s image as a wine producer.
