
“From January to August 2025, 230 million liters were exported, valued at 610 million euros,” the statement noted.
This represents an increase of 1.7% in volume and a decline of 1% in value.
Meanwhile, the average price reached 2.65 euros per liter, a decrease of 2.7% compared to the same period in 2024.
Contributing to these figures were non-EU countries, with a volume growth of 2.6% and a drop of 2.7% in value and 5.1% in the average price.
Angola, France, Spain, Brazil, and the USA are the top five markets in terms of volume up to August.
Together, these five countries accounted for 44.1% of the total volume exported by June.
In terms of value, France, the USA, Brazil, the UK, and Angola stood out, representing 43.4% of total exports.
Exports to EU countries saw a growth of 0.6% in volume, 1.2% in value, and 0.6% in average price up to August.
In the period concerned, approximately 107 million liters of certified wine were exported, worth around 310 million euros.
Port wine experienced a decrease of 0.8% in volume, 1% in value, and 0.2% in average price compared to the same period last year.
