
The Secretary-General of the PS, Pedro Nuno Santos, has endorsed Ana Abrunhosa for a “future with the PS” in Coimbra.
“With Ana Abrunhosa, Coimbra has a candidate who is prepared, experienced, and accomplished, which makes us very proud. The PS wants Coimbra to have the right candidates leading, with vision and ability to make it a model city, a top city in Portugal. Coimbra aspires to more, wants more development and more future. And the future is now, with the PS!” wrote Pedro Nuno on X (formerly Twitter), this Saturday, the day the PS presented the candidates for the local elections in the district of Coimbra.

Ana Abrunhosa, the PS candidate for the Coimbra City Council, announced her intention to run in coalition with Livre, PAN, and Cidadãos por Coimbra, also expressing the desire for the city to become the capital of a metropolitan region.
During the public presentation of the PS candidates from Coimbra, held in the late afternoon, Ana Abrunhosa emphasized that this is a concerted effort to “transform Coimbra into an innovative, sustainable, and inclusive city.”
In addition to Ana Abrunhosa, the known candidates include former deputy José Manuel Pureza for the Left Bloc and councilor Francisco Queirós for the CDU.
