The lineup will also feature Nigerian artist Asake and American singer Mariah The Scientist, along with Olamide, Niska, Awilo Longomba, Bien, Darkoo, and Young John, all set to perform on the festival’s main stage, Lit.

Organizers also disclosed names for the Piano stage — Madumane, Amaroto, Mellow & Sleazy, Lee McKrazy, Zee Nxumalo, Mawhoo — and announced a new stage, Afrotronic, dedicated to Afro House, Afrotech, and Amapiano sounds.

The inaugural Portuguese edition of Afro Nation, held in 2019, attracted more than 25,000 attendees, primarily from the United Kingdom. The festival did not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions but made its return in 2022.

Afro Nation is exclusively open to individuals over 18, and attendees must present identification to verify their age, according to information available on the festival’s website.

The 5th edition of the festival, held from July 9 to 11 this year at Praia da Rocha, included performances by more than 30 artists, such as Mary J. Blige, Burna Boy, Tems, Booba, and Davido.
