A 60-year-old woman died on Friday after being attacked by a ram in Fafe, Braga district.
The incident occurred in the afternoon, according to a spokesperson from the Fafe Volunteer Firefighters, as reported to Notícias ao Minuto.
Several emergency services were dispatched to the scene and found the victim alive. However, due to the severe injuries, she died, with the death pronounced on site by the VMER medical team.
The authorities were alerted by the victim’s neighbor, who heard her screams. The injured woman reportedly informed the neighbor that she was attacked by the animal.
In addition to the Fafe Volunteer Firefighters, emergency personnel from the INEM, including the Guimarães VMER and Fafe Immediate Life Support, were present at the scene.
