Metro services on the red line are restricted between the Senhora da Hora and Francos stations following an accident resulting in severe injuries to a 30-year-old woman, according to a company representative.
The incident occurred at 5:35 PM as the woman was struck on the platform, sustaining injuries to her arm, leg, and head, the representative stated.
By 6:00 PM, the red line was operating on a single track between Senhora da Hora and Francos stations, they added.
A spokesperson from the National Institute of Medical Emergencies reported that the woman was trapped beneath the train and classified as seriously injured.
