The PSP has announced the arrest of two foreign nationals, aged 20 and 25, who do not reside in Portugal.
The women were detained as part of an investigation into cross-border itinerant crime specializing in residential burglaries, which took place from last Monday to Thursday, the statement explained.
The PSP highlighted that this investigation “enabled the identification and tracking of a cell consisting of two suspects from Eastern Europe, with connections to support structures in Spain and Italy, and highly specialized in committing residential burglaries.”
The suspects are charged with four counts of qualified theft, three in the Porto district and one in Braga.
The police confiscated several items from them, including gold and silver articles, mobile phones, documents, tools, safes, cars, appliances, and 1,115 euros in cash.
