A man called an ambulance on Saturday after mistaking a mannequin for a person in distress on the ground in Funchal, Madeira.
The incident was confirmed by local voluntary firefighters.
The mannequin was located in Largo do Colégio.
According to the firefighters, it was being used for a drill exercise by the fire brigade.
