“Would not start.” Train breaks down on the Minho Line in Viana do Castelo

CP officials confirmed that at 4:20 PM, passengers were transferred to another train and continued their journey.

By 5:00 PM, the train remained on the track awaiting towing.

Inquiries regarding the nature of the malfunction revealed that the train “was not starting,” according to CP.

The incident did not disrupt train traffic, as the track accommodates two locomotives.
