The surveillance of the beaches of the Cascais line will double next week during World Youth Day in order to respond to a possible increase in affluence. This increase in means is part of a plan released this Monday by the government.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, José Luís Carneiro, explains that, with this measure, the executive intends to convey a message of safety to those who frequent these beaches.

“The best thing is to prevent and establish cooperation structures”, he pointed out.

The Mayor of Cascais, Carlos Carreiras, reveals that it is also planned to reinforce these beaches at night.
