
In the same quarter of 2024, Wynn Macau, which operates two casinos in the region, reported operating profits of $143.5 million (€124.4 million), according to the company in a statement.
In the first nine months of the year, Wynn Macau achieved operating profits of $433.4 million (€375.6 million), representing a decrease of approximately 15% year-on-year. During the same period in 2024, the profits amounted to $511.5 million (€443.1 million).
The company’s two casinos in the region, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, generated $856.9 million (€742.7 million) in revenue during the quarter under review, nearly 20% more than the previous year ($714.8 million or €619.6 million).
In the first 10 months of the year, Macau’s gaming sector recorded total revenues of MOP 205.4 billion (€22.9 billion), an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, it was announced on Saturday.
Macau, known as the global gaming capital, is the only region in China where casino gambling is legal.
Six concessionaires operate in the region: MGM, Galaxy, Venetian, Melco, Wynn, and SJM. These operators renewed their concession contracts in December 2023 for the next ten years, with the contracts taking effect on January 1, 2024.
