Xutos, Pedro Abrunhosa and Slow J at Sabores de Perdição in Castelo Branco

This year’s edition of the event will be organized into four main areas, leading to increased occupancy of the Devesa Civic Center, announced the mayor of Castelo Branco, Leopoldo Rodrigues.

The mayor spoke today during a press conference to present the Festival Sabores de Perdição.

“The festival will feature food stalls and spaces dedicated to Castelo Branco embroidery, as well as a group of chefs preparing dishes inspired by the region,” he said.

Leopoldo Rodrigues confirmed that the country’s largest dynamic fountain, with projections of water, sound, and light, currently under construction at Praça da Devesa at an investment of 740,000 euros, will be operational in time for the festival.

“The event takes place in the civic center, and the fountain will be an integral part of the event,” assured the mayor.

A main stage will host the Portuguese band Xutos & Pontapés on the 19th. Pedro Abrunhosa will perform on the 20th, Slow J on the 21st, with Nuno Ribeiro concluding the lineup on the final day.

On the 22nd, there will also be a concert by the Castelo Branco Music Conservatory, featuring around 400 children.

The festival will also include tributes to Bruce Springsteen, The Police, and the Rolling Stones.

According to Leopoldo Rodrigues, the Festival Sabores de Perdição has a budget of half a million euros, the same amount as in 2024, when it returned to Castelo Branco after a three-year intermission and two editions held digitally.

Currently, the official number of exhibitors expected to participate has not yet been disclosed, as registrations are still open.
