The alert, which will last until 9pm today, concerns the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Leiria, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga.

The IPMA justifies this warning by forecasting showers, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, and possibly strong gusts of wind.

This yellow warning indicates a risk situation for certain activities, depending on weather conditions.

For Tuesday, the Institute is again forecasting periods of rain or showers, especially in the northern and central regions, and a north-westerly wind, sometimes strong in the highlands. A slight drop in maximum temperatures is also expected.
