A young woman, aged 24, was apprehended by the Public Security Police (PSP) in Coimbra on Friday evening around 9 p.m. for resisting and coercing an officer after assaulting a policeman in Figueira da Foz.
The police released a statement indicating that officers from the Figueira da Foz Police Division were dispatched to address an alleged neighborly dispute in Buarcos.
Upon arrival, the young woman exhibited hostile behavior and slapped one of the police officers, resulting in her arrest.
This incident was one of eight arrests made by the PSP of Coimbra over the weekend, involving crimes such as drug trafficking, theft, and road violations.
