An 18-year-old participant in a demonstration was reportedly injured in Lisbon during a protest in support of detainees from the Global Flotilla Sumud. The demonstration took place this afternoon between Martim Moniz and Rossio squares.
Reports indicate that the young man may have grabbed onto a catenary, according to a source from the fire department. Emergency services were present at the scene, and the individual has been transported to the hospital.
The Rossio Station in Lisbon was overtaken by demonstrators supporting Gaza, with 14 officers from the PSP Intervention Brigade positioned to prevent the railway lines from being occupied.
