The National Republican Guard (GNR) arrested a 23-year-old man on June 3 for burglaries in the municipality of Castelo Branco.
The arrest was made as part of a three-month investigation concerning “multiple burglaries in residences in that municipality.”
The authorities “conducted police operations that enabled the identification and location of the suspect.”
During the operation, the GNR executed a home search resulting in the suspect’s arrest and the seizure of two fans, a refrigerator, a stove, a washing machine, a water heater, a microwave, an iron, and a casserole dish.
The seized items “were returned to their rightful owners.”
The detainee, “previously indicated for similar offenses,” appeared in the Judicial Court of Castelo Branco and was subjected to the preventive detention measure.
