Several gunshots were fired at a couple inside a car on a street in Seixal, Setúbal district, early Tuesday morning, resulting in a young woman being injured. The incident is under investigation by the Judiciary Police.
The PSP reported that 20 shots were fired.
One of the bullets struck a young woman inside the vehicle, who was then assisted by the Fire Brigade of Seixal and transported to Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada, where her condition is reported to be stable.
The shooting took place on Avenida Vasco da Gama, just a few meters from the PSP station in Seixal, with one of the bullets hitting the window of a nearby bakery.
The Setúbal District Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) clarified that the car targeted in the Seixal shooting was carrying at least three individuals.
