Zara is “reducing” its alarms in September in Portugal and gives two reasons for this

From September, ready-to-wear brand Zara, owned by Galician textile giant Inditex, will modify its security system for items and invest in smaller alarms.

“The big difference is that it’s easier for the customer to disarm the garment at the checkouts and simplify the moment of trying on the garment, so the alarms aren’t so annoying,” an official Inditex Portugal source told delas .pt.

The security measure retains the same identification technology already in use, but in a smaller solution, which starts arriving in July, but is expected to be standardized across all Zara stores, in Portugal and worldwide, in the “autumn/winter collection”, which will start shipping in September.

Figures for global or national investment are not disclosed, but an official Inditex Portugal source indicates that the measure will be “progressively extended to all brands” of the group.
