The Court of Appeal of Evora decides to extradite a foreign citizen to the Netherlands

The Court of Appeal of Evora decided today to extradite a foreign national wanted by authorities in the Netherlands for drug trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon, and arrested by the SEF in Palmela (Setubal), revealed police sources.

Thesame source told pp that the detainee was this afternoon presented to the Court of Appeal of Évora (TRE), which validated the arrest and determined his conduction to the Prison Facility of Beja, where he will await extradition to the Netherlands.

In a statement, the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) said that this citizen was pending an alert from the Schengen Information System, originating in the authorities of the Netherlands, for capture and detention for the purpose of extradition for drug trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Over this suspect, added the statement, also hung an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol.

The man was arrested by SEF and taken to the Court of Reguengos de Monsaraz, in the district of Évora, which validated, on Saturday, the arrest.
