Biker couple killed in brutal crash. Young man who was driving the car that hit the motorcycle was in a state of shock

The couple had just started a motorcycle trip with three other friends.

A 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, who had recently started dating, died when the motorcycle they were riding, accompanied by three other friends, crashed on Friday night on the Lisbon-Cascais Marginal, in Dafundo, Oeiras. A 23-year-old man, who was driving the car that hit the motorcycle and precipitated the crash, was in a state of shock.

The accident happened at 11.15pm, near the Vasco da Gama Aquarium. The couple had just started a motorcycle trip with three other friends. The driver of a Mercedes changed direction and hit the back of the couple’s motorcycle. The crash was brutal. The PSP and a team of five vehicles and 18 firefighters from the Dafundo fire station were mobilized. The two young people died immediately.

The bodies will be autopsied at the coroner’s office at Guia Cemetery in Cascais. The driver who made the call that caused the motorcycle to crash received psychological support from INEM.
