In the first quarter of 2025, 7,100 buildings were licensed, marking a 20.3% increase compared to the same period the previous year, although this is below the 24.1% growth recorded in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The licensing of buildings for new constructions rose by 21.3% (after a 27.5% increase in the fourth quarter of 2024), while licensing for rehabilitation surged 23.7%, accelerating compared to the 15.7% observed in the previous quarter.
The number of completed buildings totaled 3,900, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 1.1% and reversing the 3.6% decline noted in the preceding quarter.
In the family housing segment, the number of units licensed in new constructions grew by 36.0%, reinforcing the 23.5% increase observed in the last quarter. The number of completed units recorded an 18.4% rise, following an 11.8% increase in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Compared to the previous quarter, the number of licensed buildings increased by 3.8%, while completed buildings decreased by 3.9%.
