“[…] The Board of Directors of the Competition Authority […] decides to adopt a decision of non-opposition to the concentration operation,” reads a note released today by the AdC on its website.
The regulator also stated that this operation is not expected to create barriers to market competition.
On March 20, Brisa notified the AdC of the purchase of the 25% stake that the Ascendi group holds in Via Verde, aiming to own the entire capital of the company.
Brisa had already acquired SIBS’s stake in the company in 2021, with only Ascendi’s position remaining to fully control Via Verde.
The capital of Ascendi is controlled by Ardian, an independent private investment firm based in France managing assets in Europe, North America, and Asia.
