Portuguese tennis player Gastão Elias, 313th in the world, will face Frenchman Richard Gasquet, 120th, on Saturday in the first qualifying round of the Estoril Open, according to the draw made today.
Elias will face the second seed from the qualifying round and former world number seven in 2007.
Jaime Faria, 287th in the world, faces Hungary’s Mate Valkusz, 214th, Frederico Silva, 354th, plays France’s Lucas Pouille, 242nd, and Pedro Araújo, 777th, takes on Slovakia’s Lukas Klein, 128th.
The wild cards Duarte Vale, 581st ATP, and Francisco Rocha, 914th, face the Czech Vit Kopriva, 116th in the ranking and first seed in the qualifying tournament, and the British Jan Choinski, 169th, respectively.
The first round of qualifying also features two matches without Portuguese players: Kazakh Mikhail Kukushkin faces Spain’s David Jorda Sanchis and Ukraine’s Eric Vanshelboim takes on Spain’s Pablo Lamas Ruiz.
