River ferry services between Setúbal and Troia have been suspended since 7:30 a.m. today due to a hydraulic problem in the vehicle access ramp at the Fontainhas pier in Setúbal, a company source told Lusa.
According to the same source, the malfunction is already being repaired, but at around 10.20 a.m. there was still no scheduled time for completion of the work and normalization of ferry links between the two banks of the Sado River.
For motorists wishing to travel from Setúbal to Troia, or in the opposite direction, the quickest solution is to cross the Sado at Alcácer do Sal, which involves a journey of several dozen kilometers.
