The auditorium of the Cultural and Congress Center in Caldas da Rainha, situated in the district of Leiria, was filled to capacity with attendees, leaving several individuals standing.
Among the attendees were numerous personalities from the Socialist Party (PS), including former presidential candidate and Health Minister Maria de Belém, Member of the European Parliament Francisco Assis, as well as the former Mayor of Lisbon and Minister of Culture João Soares.
Also present were Álvaro Beleza, president of Sedes (Association for Economic and Social Development), former MEP Carlos Zorrinho, and former Health Minister Adalberto Campos Fernandes.
Former Secretary of State António Lacerda Sales, current deputies Hugo Costa and Pedro do Carmo, along with former socialist parliamentarians Jamila Madeira, Pedro Coimbra, and António Galamba, were among others in attendance.
Former Socialist mayors of Amadora, Joaquim Raposo, and Coimbra, Manuel Machada, also attended, alongside former Caldas da Rainha mayor, the notable social-democrat Fernando Costa.
Supporting António José Seguro were former UGT secretary-general João Proença and some military and naval officers.
