Ogma – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal announced today that it will inaugurate a new Pratt & Whitney engine maintenance line this week, in an investment of 90 million euros.
This infrastructure represents an investment of more than 90 million euros made by Ogma since 2021 and makes the company an authorized maintenance center for GTF engines, from the US company Pratt & Whitney.
Ogma was founded in 1918 and operates in two business areas: maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft and civil and defense aviation engines and components, and manufacture and assembly of aerostructures for civil and military aircraft.
Privatized in 2005, 65% of Ogma belongs to Airholding, owned by Brazilian manufacturer Embraer, and 35% to idD Portugal Defence (100% owned by the Portuguese state).
The inauguration will take place at a session scheduled for Thursday, July 25, in Alverca, and will be attended by officials from Embraer, Pratt & amp; Whitney and Ogma.
