On Wednesday, May 21st, Mercadona is set to open a supermarket in Fafe, marking the company’s first in the municipality and its eighth in the district of Braga.
“As part of its Social Responsibility Policy, this store will donate essential goods daily from its first day to the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Fafe,” the company stated in a release.
The announcement highlighted that “since 2019, the company has created 600 jobs in the Braga district.”
This year, the Spanish brand also plans to open supermarkets in Matosinhos, Porto, Leiria, Loures, Lisbon, and Palmela.
