Polish tennis player Hubert Hurkacz, the second seed, qualified today for the quarter-finals of the Estoril Open with a two-set victory over British qualifier Jan Choinski.
In the second round match, the world’s 10th-ranked tennis player beat the 188th-ranked player in the ATP rankings 7-6 (7-5) and 6-4 in one hour and 48 minutes.
Hurkacz, who was exempt from the first round at the Estoril Tennis Club, will face the winner of the quarter-final between Spain’s Pablo Llamas Ruiz and David Jordà Sanchís, both of whom came through qualifying.
