TAP flight from Bissau to Lisbon diverted to Dakar due to bird strike

The ATAP flight that left Bissau on Saturday for Lisbon was diverted to Dakar due to the collision of a bird with one of the engines, said an official source of the company, ensuring that safety is guaranteed.

“TAP confirms that flight TP1478, which left Bissau today for Lisbon, was diverted to Dakar due to the collision of a bird with one of the engines during takeoff,” said the official source of TAP in response to Lusa.

According to the same source, “no emergency has been declared, flight parameters are stable and flight safety is guaranteed,” without adding any further information.
