The Primeira Liga

The Primeira Liga in Portugal was established in 1934 and is currently contested by 18 teams. Estádio Municipal de Braga

The Estádio Municipal de Braga was opened in late 2003, in advance of the Euro 2004 tournament. It is home of Sporting Clube de Braga. Built into the hillside of the Monte Castro region, and facing the Cavado River, the stadium was recognized for its architectural innovation and creativity. The Portuguese national stadium, located some 12 kilometers west of Lisbon, has a capacity of over 37,000. The stadium is the venue for all major European club competitions and also the Portuguese national team.
