The Municipality of Matosinhos is collaborating with the Judiciary Police, which today is conducting searches in the municipality as part of “public procurement processes,” said a source from the local authority.
In a statement, the Matosinhos City Hall, in the district of Porto, said that PJ inspectors are on the premises of the municipality since early this morning to “consult documentation on public procurement processes”, linked to the departments of Works and Property.
“The Municipality of Matosinhos views this type of procedure by judicial entities with naturalness, and is cooperating with the Judiciary Police inspectors in all their requests,” guarantees the municipality led by socialist Luísa Salgueiro.
A judicial source told that the PJ was in that municipality to conduct searches to confirm the veracity of an anonymous tip targeting officials.
