Three men between the ages of 23 and 27 were arrested in Coimbra by the Judiciary Police for being suspected of sexually abusing a woman who was unable to resist because she had consumed alcoholic beverages, it was announced today.

In a press release, the Judicial Police (PJ), through the Directorate of the Center, clarified that, “Following investigations and in compliance with arrest warrants issued by the Department of Investigation and Penal Action (DIAP) Coimbra, arrested three men (between 23 and 27 years) the alleged practice of the crime of sexual abuse of a person incapable of resistance “.

According to the information provided, the facts occurred in April, in Coimbra.

The three men reportedly met the victim, a 22-year-old woman, at a nightclub.

“The suspects have accompanied the victim to his residence, where they practiced sexual acts with her, taking advantage of the state of incapacity in which he was, the result of drinking alcoholic beverages “, also said the PJ.

The judicial interrogation of the three detainees is still continuing, the Judicial Police also indicated in the statement released at 19:59.
