Two minor injuries in collision that forces closure of IP2 in Beja

The Territorial Command of Beja of the GNR (National Republican Guard) informed Lusa news agency that traffic on IP2 was cut off in both directions in the accident area due to debris from the vehicles involved in the collision on the road.

According to the same source, the accident, for which the alert was given at 3:45 PM, occurred on IP2 near the access to the village of Santa Clara de Louredo, in the municipality of Beja.

When contacted by Lusa, a source from the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of Baixo Alentejo stated that the accident caused two minor injuries, and the injured were transported to the emergency room of Beja hospital.

The rescue operations mobilized 14 operatives from the fire departments of Beja and Castro Verde, the GNR, and the concessionaire Estradas da Planície, supported by six vehicles.
