The courage of Henri, a 24-year-old Catholic student, during the attack in Annecy, France, did not go unnoticed. The young man, with a rucksack on his back and another on his chest, tried to intervene several times during the attack to stop the assailant.
According to Le Figaro, and by viewing certain videos of the moment, it is possible to see a man carrying a backpack facing the attacker. The young man managed to escape a stab wound and prevent the assailant from returning to the playground.

Henri had gone on a trip about two and a half months ago to visit the cathedrals of France. Before the attack, the student had shared a story on Facebook showing Lake Annecy.
According to Le Parisien, about an hour later, the young man shared another photo with fire trucks where he asked for “unity in prayer for the victims” of the playground attack.
Henri holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s in management. His journey began on March 27 at the La Barroux monastery, and Annecy, where the tragedy occurred, was one of his stops.
