Praia do Cabedelinho, in Figueira da Foz, was banned from bathing this afternoon due to microbiological contamination, a source from the Maritime Police told Lusa agency today.
“Praia do Cabedelinho Beach is prohibited for bathing. Beach activities can be done, however you can not go to baths, for now, “said the same source.
Analysis by the competent authorities revealed microbiological contamination of the water.
According to the Maritime Police, a date for lifting the ban is not yet known.
Cabedelinho beach is located on the south bank of the Mondego river mouth, in Figueira da Foz, district of Coimbra.
