The fire in the parish of Arrabal, Leiria, which broke out on Monday, is in the resolution phase, said today the sub-regional commander of Emergency and Civil Protection of Leiria, warning of the adverse weather conditions of this afternoon.
Carlos Guerra said, during the briefing held this morning, that the fire in Arrabal went into resolution at 08:00.
During the early hours of the morning, the fire in Caranguejeira had also entered into resolution, at 05:40, he said, stressing that the atmospheric conditions expected for the afternoon, with high temperatures, wind and low humidity, foresee “a lot of work”.
The commander also said that the means remain in place to consolidate the fire, which should still have some reactivations.
According to the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, the fire in the parish of Arrabal started at 13:47 on Monday.
At 08:43 there were 143 operatives on the scene, supported by 43 vehicles and two aircraft.
