All mainland districts, except Faro, will be under a yellow warning today due to the forecast of showers, which may be heavy, and thunderstorms, according to the Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA).
The 17 districts will be under a yellow warning due to the forecast of showers, which may be locally heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms and in the form of hail, between 9am and 9pm today.
The yellow warning, the least serious on a scale of three, is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities dependent on the weather situation.
The IPMA forecasts periods of very cloudy skies on the mainland today, showers, sometimes heavy, occasionally hail and accompanied by thunderstorms until the end of the afternoon and generally weak wind, sometimes strong on the coast from the afternoon onwards and in the highlands of the Center and South.
There will also be a slight drop in the minimum and maximum temperatures in the central and southern interior.
Minimum temperatures will oscillate between 08 degrees Celsius (in Bragança and Guarda) and 16 (in Faro) and maximum temperatures between 15 degrees (Guarda) and 25 (in Braga).
