The official reported that one firefighter suffered minor injuries during the firefighting efforts.
The alert for the fire was received at 13:03 in the locality of Sendim, Tabuaço, and at one point during the afternoon, it mobilized seven aerial resources.
By 21:00, the fire was being fought by 172 operational personnel supported by 48 vehicles.
