Management, employees, collaborators, partners, managers, consultants and others can apply.

The Santander Portugal Foundation’s 600 Corporate Sustainability Grants, aimed at professionals from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who wish to acquire and develop skills and knowledge in the field of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance), will open tomorrow. Applications will be accepted until April 16.

“One of the main objectives is that at the end of the program, participants will be able to know the main concepts that are at the origin of corporate sustainability. Identifying risks and opportunities, defining and implementing sustainability as a business strategy, knowing some studies about companies that have adopted sustainability as a business strategy, are some of the components of the ESG Program for SMEs,” explains the Santander Portugal Foundation, which offers the scholarships in partnership with BCSD Portugal – Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Sustainable Development, which represents more than 150 companies committed to sustainability and is part of the global network of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

The initiative aims to make participants aware of the four dimensions of sustainability – people, profit, purpose and planet – and their impact on the value chain, as well as the importance of the relationship with different stakeholders throughout the value chain, from a perspective of collaboration and application of solutions.

Directors, employees, partners, managers, consultants and other staff are eligible to apply, provided they are over 18 years of age, have a professional relationship with a Portuguese SME or a company based in Portugal, have a good knowledge of English and are fluent in Portuguese.

Those interested should apply by April 16 through the www.santanderx.com platform.
